GROOM-A-DOG

After working part time in a grooming salon, and going on to achieve my City & Guilds in dog grooming, I decided to set up my own grooming facilities at home catering for the needs of my local community.

Most owners have no problem in maintaining a well-groomed dog, but if you find this a difficult task, due to perhaps your own health problems or time restrictions, then I can help relieve you of this worry.

Your dog may only need the occasional bath and blow dry, or perhaps requires a full groom, whatever your requirements, I will be pleased to discuss these with you prior to an appointment.

If you are unable to bring your dog to me, a collection and return service is available at a small mileage charge

PET CARE - IN YOUR HOME

Going away for the weekend or longer! This service allows your pets to remain in their own familiar surroundings. You may have an elderly dog or smaller pets such as cats, hamsters, rabbits, birds, fish or even reptiles, which need daily attention. I would only ask that you provide specific feeding and care instructions to ensure their wellbeing and happiness while you are away.

Duties Include:

• Two visits per day.
• Feed and water your pets.
• Provide them with company and attention.
• Change and clean litter trays.
• Place rubbish outside for collection if needed.
• Water your plants.
• Maintain security.

An extension to this service is "Home Sitting". If you prefer your home and pets to have twenty-four hour care, I can stay at your home. This is an excellent alternative to kennels and catteries. You can go away safe in the knowledge that your home is secure and your pets are kept in familiar surroundings, giving you greater peace of mind.

HOME FROM HOME - 5 STAR Treatment For Your Dog.

My partner, John, and I, live in a bungalow overlooking open fields with many interesting walks for your dog.

Whilst in our care, your dog will be given a loving home and treated as a member of the family. Morning and afternoon walks if required. One of us is always at home, to keep your dog company, but if for any reason we both need to go out, then it would never be for longer than three hours.

If we have a booking available for you, we then arrange a suitable time for you and your dog to come and meet us. This allows your dog to familiarise itself with our surroundings and also for you to check us out and feel happy about leaving your dog in our care. We have, on the odd occasion, refused a booking for various reasons. We realised that meeting a dog and its owner first, was very important, not only for the wellbeing and safety of the dog, but for us too.

For your dog's stay with us, we ask that you bring any favourite toys and bedding. We also ask that the usual food also be supplied, which most owners prefer, so that the diet is not changed at all. We do provide treats, if allowed. It is also very helpful if we are provided with written instructions of your dog's daily routine, so that we can follow this to the best of our ability for the continued happiness of your dog.


Charges:

• £10 per dog per day.
• £15 for two dogs from the same family.
• Should you have more than two dogs, please ask for a quotation.

Small Pet Boarding:

• From £5 per day.

Walk-A-Dog

This service is tailored to suit the needs of your dog. I have found through experience that most dogs only need half an hour for a walk. But of course for the more energetic breeds, an hour is more acceptable. I will of course be guided by the owner's instructions. Most of the dogs enjoy a beach walk, some on an extended lead for more freedom. I will only allow a dog to run off the lead if it is obedient and, of course, with the owner's consent, and this is also only when the dog and I have got to know each other.

My charges for this service vary depending on requirements and the distance of travel to your home. The minimum charge is £5 for half an hour. Should I need to travel by car to your home, a small mileage charge would apply. Please contact me for a free quotation.
