My partner, John and I, are in our early fifties and live on the Romney Marsh. We are first and foremost dedicated dog lovers, but also encourage a variety of wildlife into our garden by feeding the birds and providing bird boxes for nesting, which last year successfully resulted in baby blue tits and two broods of blackbirds. John has built his own fishponds, plus a wildlife wet area, and enjoys the tranquillity it brings. My own small hobby is tropical fish, and my little guppies just keep having babies, which I find very rewarding. Over the past few years I have also enjoyed helping out at my friends dog grooming parlour, gaining first class experience in this very rewarding field. Caring for other people's dogs started six years ago when our two golden retrievers, Brady and Ben, passed away due to ill health and old age. It was a very sad time. We missed them so much that we started pet sitting for our friends when they were on holiday. This made us realise how much we had missed sharing our lives with dogs. For our friends, we were a great alternative to boarding kennels. They were so pleased to be able to go away on holiday knowing that their dog was being lovingly cared for and treated as a member of the family, just like home, with cuddles and tummy tickles on demand. Our friends told their friends and we were soon taking bookings for the following year. With such popularity, we decided to expand in other areas of pet care to service the needs of our own neighbourhood. Our primary aim is the happiness and safety of your pet(s) whilst in our care, so that you can enjoy peace of mind while you are away. |
